Who says there’s nothing to do in the winter.  There are plenty of ducks on the pond.  And I’ll bet they’ll get out of the water to greet you if you bring plenty of food for a picnic.

This is the oldest public Japanese tea garden in the US and is located inside Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.  I’m not much of a tea drinker, but I love gardens.  I find it quite soothing in here, just being able to wander slowly, taking in the beauty.  There is an incredible fullness here and it’s all so meticulously organized, every tree and shrub perfectly in its place.
