forsythe park

One of the iconic landmarks in Savannah, this was taken in the morning as it was just starting to get light.  The park lamps have not turned off yet.  It’s already warm and a bit muggy.  It’s so easy to walk around and take in the old mossy ambiance of the south here.  My mother was born in Savannah, though she moved away when fairly young.  Don’t know if it was that connection or not, but I felt quite at home here.  There’s a certain slow, timelessness about it.  Peaceful, porch sittin’ slow.
