I’m not from the south and don’t live in the south.  I sure do love the south, though.  The people are friendly, the countryside beautiful and the food… nothing to compare it to.  From gumbo to catfish and everything else, the southern palate is one that is much favored and appreciated by this mouth.  This was taken during a trip to New Orleans.  Love that food.

Anyone know what the sign says?  I translate it to octopus for lunch.  Seems reasonable.  We didn’t stop to try it.  But for the local Greeks it must be a decent seller or it wouldn’t be there.  Also, it must be rather abundant in the local waters of Aegina, a relatively short ferry ride from Athens.  It’s fun exploring the local culture, but I’d already eaten.  Hungry?

Thirst quenching.  Fresh.  Fun.  It’s all part of wandering around the colorful Hollywood farmers market street fair.  Yes, there are real live everyday events happening in Hollywood.  Not all glitz and glamour.  Fresh and organic.  Thirst quenching.  It’s just all part of everything in Hollywood.
