DC

In DC, everywhere you turn seems to be just waiting to be admired.  I found it to be a showcase of iconic museum pieces.  A nations history through our relatively short existence on display to browse.  When the natural world shows up to complement our man-made structures… well, the results speak for themselves.  This was taken from the steps of the Lincoln memorial as the sun was rising.

What a museum Washington DC is.  I love walking around and just taking in the history and architecture of the city.  I must have walked 15 miles on this day just wandering and exploring wherever my feet took me.  As it started to get dark I found myself being drawn to the capital building from just behind the reflecting pond.  As the sky darkened, the building came alive.
