It’s spring. The wild flowers and fruit trees are coming alive. So are the bees who pollinate them. My wife loves to tend bees and we have a couple of captured swarm hives. A swarm happens when a hive gets too big for its hive and half the hive leaves with another queen to form a hive of its own. They will often congregate on a low branch or house eve near their former hive and a good bee keeper can capture the whole of it and transfer it to a new hive space at home. We have two!
