There are still a few fishing boats tied up here along the mouth of the Samish. I used to work on one way-back-when. It’s not a big river; in fact it’s only navigable here at the mouth for maybe a mile as it opens into Samish Bay, a piece of the larger Bellingham Bay. Not sure why they keep these old wrecks around. Probably just part of nature’s museum. A bit of history rotting away as fiberglass takes over for wood. At least the wood will eventually melt back into the canvas. I rather like that.
